Violent night in Rochester leaves two injured

On Saturday night just after 10:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of 1600 Clifford Avenuein Rochester, New York for a report of possible gunshots. As officers arrived on scene, they located evidence that indicated shots were fired. No victim was found. A short time later, a 22-year-old male, city residence, arrived at Rochester General Hospital via private vehicle. The male had sustained at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. His injuries are non-life threatening.

As the Rochester Police Department was working the scene on Clifford Avenue, officers also responded to the 1400 block of Lake Avenue in Rochester, New York for a report of a possible gunshots and someone shot. As officers arrived on scene, they were unable to locate any victims. Shortly after the call on Lake Avenue, a 23-year-old female, city residence, arrived at Rochester General Hospital via private vehicle. The female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her upper body. Her injuries are non-life threatening.

Both incidents are being investigated by the Rochester Police Department. If anyone has any information, they are asked to call 911.
