Third homicide in 24 hours on First Street after city council votes to cut RPDs budget

Around 1:40 PM officers responded to first Street for one male shot. When officers arrived on scene, CPR was started. The male was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This is the third homicide to occur in Rochester within 24 hours. The Rochester, New York mayor has yet to comment on the increasing violence.

This also cones after the Rochester city Council votes to cut the Rochester Police Department budget in the coming months and years.

The area will remain closed until further notice.
