The 11th Roc The Peace festival taking back city streets.

On Saturday afternoon ROC the Peace held its 11th Annual Festival at Jones Square. The event which was started by ROC the Peace Founder Sirena Cotton, is an event where people can come together, eat food, listen to live music, enjoy time with other community members, and increase awareness and promote non-violence within the community.

Sirena Cotton who lost a child to violence 12 years ago says, doing events such as ROC the Peace Festival and other events to promote awareness, promote non-violence is important to try and end the ongoing violence. She also said, “This is one day we can all come together in the name of peace.”
