Suspicious package in downtown Rochester alerts bomb squad

On Wednesday evening around 6:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the 100 block of East Avenue in Rochester, New York for a suspicious package.

The Rochester Police Departments Bomb Squad responded to the scene. After a brief investigation, the Bomb Squad confirmed the package was not a bomb and that the package was not a threat to the public.
