Shooting on Kirkland Road injuries one

On Sunday evening just after 10pm the Rochester Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation near Kirkland Road and Kenwood Avenue. As officers responded to the scene they did not find any victims.

While officers were on scene investigating, a 21-year-old male walked into Strong Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The Rochester Police Department confirmed the male was the victim from Kirkland Road. His injuries are non-life-threatening.

As of this time, no suspects are in custody.
