One shot on Conkey Avenue and Avenue D

On Tuesday afternoon just after 3:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Conkey Avenue and Avenue D for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they found one male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound.

The male was transported by AMR to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown.

There are two individuals detained, but it is unknown what their involvement is with the incident.

The Rochester Police Department along with the New York State Police are on scene and have the area closed off. They are asking the public to avoid the area for the next couple of hours.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
