One person shot on Monroe Avenue and Amherst Street

Rochester police say around 12:45 AM this morning police officer surrounded to the 500 block of Monroe Avenue and Amherst Street for reports of a person shot.

Upon arrival, they located a male who is shot in the upper body at least once.

The victim was transferred to a strong morial hospital by AMR ambulance. He is currently in critical, but stable condition police say.

They are not suspect in custody.
