Officer down on Peck Street, stabbed in the face

A Rochester Police Officer was attacked and stabbed in the face by a suspect while responding to a call on Peck Street. 

Friday morning the Rochester Police Department says a 23-year veteran of the force responded to Peck Street for a disturbance.  While on scene the officer was attacked by the suspect, who is in his 20s. The suspect is in custody at this time. 

The officer was transported to the hospital with serious injuries to his face.
