Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley under investigation after traffic stop


The Monroe County Office of Public Integrity advised that they have received several requests to investigate Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley after her recent interaction with Webster Police during a traffic stop.

 

GSL News has learned that Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley is now under two separate investigations into her actions.  One investigation is starting at the request of Governor Kathy Hochul.  The second is being launched by the Monroe County Office of Public Integrity.

 

Monroe County Office of Public Integrity Director Janson McNair released a statement in which he says, “We will conduct an investigation in conjunction with the Monroe County Board of Ethics.”  The investigation will begin immediately.

 

Governor Hochul has referred Sandra Doorley’s incident to the New York State Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct.  Hochul said in a statement “District attorneys are responsible for prosecuting criminal and traffic offenses and must perform their duties with the highest ethical standards.”
