Male pulls gun and shoots at wife and 7 children

On Tuesday night, just before midnight, the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Scio Street and Davis Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they met with a female who advised that her husband had pulled a gun on her and shot at her along with her seven children.

The female and her seven children were moved to a safe place, while officers established a perimeter around the house, in an attempt to make contact with male suspect. After about 2 hours, Rochester Police confirmed that the male was no longer in the immediate area.

The Rochester Police Department did reopen the roadways.

The Rochester Police Department is still investigating the incident and attempting to locate the male suspect.
