Local First Responders host 3rd Annual Goodnight Lights

On Wednesday night numerous local law enforcement and fire departments gathered outside of the University of Rochester Golisano Children’s Hospital for the annual Goodnight Lights.

Lieutenant Waldo with the Rochester Police Department stated that this is the 3rd year that local first responders have come together for this event. The event which is held every Wednesday night throughout the month of December gives local first responders the chance to waive goodnight to children who are hospitalized at Golisano Children’s Hospital and not able to be home for the holidays.

Lieutenant Waldo stated that even though this year has been bad for everyone, local first responders wanted to continue the tradition.
