First Street fire displaces family from home
On Tuesday afternoon just before 3:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to First Street for a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames coming from a 3-story, single family home located at 411 First Street. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The home sustained extensive damage from the fire.
The 4 adults and 3 children who resided at the home were all okay and are being relocated to temporary housing with the assistance of the Red Cross.
The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the fire and have advised that the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
