Fire destroys garage on Norton Street

On Wednesday night just before 8:00pm officers with the Rochester Police Department on routine patrol noticed smoke and flames coming from a residence located at 500 Norton Street. Officers called for the fire department to respond to the scene.

The Rochester Fire Department responded to the scene. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames coming from a garage behind the residence. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire writhing 20-30 minutes.

The Rochester Fire Department advise that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

No one was injured in the fire.
