Deadly day in Rochester with 5 shot and 3 dead


The first shooting occurred around 12:15 a.m. 23-year-old Ricardo Stone a Rochester resident was found with gunshot wounds on Bernard Street. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle and was pronounced dead shortly after.


The second shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on North Clinton Avenue. 17-year-old Willie Carter IV also a Rochester resident was shot. His condition unknown.

Around 2 a.m. the third shooting of the day occurred. Officers where called to Violetta and Stanley Street, where they found a male who had been shot. That man was taken to UR Medical Center and is undergoing surgery with life threatening injuries in serious condition.


The fourth shooting claimed the life of a man in his 30s and more information will be released shortly.


A fifth shooting occurred hours later Friday afternoon on Magnolia Street. Police say a 19-year-old city man was found with a gunshot wound to his torso. Police say the male was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.


Rochester Police are investigating all of the shooting, and advised that there are no suspects in custody for any of the shootings that occurred on Friday.
