Cellphone service outage effects AT&T customers and other carriers


AT&T's network was impacted by a cellular outage in the U.S. Thursday morning, impacting thousands of wireless customers across the United States.


It’s unknown how many customers have been affected by this outage.


AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon customers began reporting issues with their services around 3 a.m. ET Thursday. There also appeared to be network issues Cricket, Consumer Cellular, Boost Mobile and other regional services, according to Downdetector.


More than 50,000 incidents were reported around 7am US eastern time, according to data from the outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

Users of Verizon, T-Mobile and UScellular also reported disruptions, though the outage with the services was much smaller than AT&T, according to Downdetector.
