Atwell Street fire displaces family

On Thursday night at 9:29pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to 42 Atwell Street in Rochester, New York for a report of a house on fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found flames coming from the first floor of a 2-story, single family home.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire shortly after their arrival.

The family that resided at the residence was able to make it out safe.

The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
