3rd alarm house fire with multiple fireman injured on Fulton Avenue

Just before 10:00 P.M on Wednesday night The Rochester Fire Department received multiple calls of a house fire. When Fire crews arrived on scene, there was a large fire showing from the structure at 156 Fulton Avenue in Rochester, New York.

Officer Ryan Fleming, Rochester Fire Department’s Public Information Officer advised that due to the design of the home, it made fighting the fire difficult, causing the flames to spread rapidly throughout the multi-family residence. Due to the quick spread of the fire and the difficulty accessing parts of the residence, a 3rd alarm fire was called.

The fire was extinguished, but the home suffered extensive damage.

All 16 residents of the multi-family residence were able to make it out safe. 3 Rochester Fire Fighters did suffer minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
