Officer down on Peck Street stabbed in the facial area

A Rochester police officer was attacked and stabbed in the facial area by suspect while responding to a call on Peck St. 

Friday morning the Rochester Police Department says a 23-year veteran of the force responded to peck Street. 

Around 11:45 AM while on scene the officer was attacked the suspect in his 20s is in custody at this time. 

The officer has serious injuries to the facial area more information coming soon.
