Male fatally shot on Fifth street

Rochester Police are investigating a homicide that happened Wednesday morning. Officers said they were called around 10 a.m. for the report of gunshots on Fifth Street.

Police said a man in his 30s was shot. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are looking for suspects, but said the investigation is in its early stages. Fifth Street will be closed between Pennsylvania Avenue and Central Park until further notice.
