Young female shot on Portland Avenue and Oneida Street

Rochester Police say that a teenage girl was injured in a shooting on Portland Avenue around 9:30 Friday night. Police originally responded for a report of a person shot on Oneida Street.

The victim, a 13-year-old girl, with at least one gunshot wound was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police learned during the investigation that the shooting happened in the 900 block of Portland Avenue.

There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to call 911.
