Woman hit by vehicle on N. Clinton Ave. and Scrantom Street

Around 7:50 PM police arrived on scene where a women was struck by vehicle. Witnesses stated that the driver of the vehicle left the scene. 

Officers said a pickup truck was driving south on North Clinton Avenue and hit 60-year-old Cruz Mass. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR ambulance with head trauma.

EMS workers said Mass is in critical condition.

The driver, later identified as 59-year-old Michael Salmon, has been charged with DWI. More charges could be forthcoming.

North Clinton Avenue was briefly closed between Upper Falls and Clifford Avenue for the investigation, but has since been reopened.
