Two year old shot by father in Rochester NY dies

During the investigation, a handgun was found, leading to the arrest of the 36-year-old Charles T. Phillips. He is now facing 1st Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon charges. According to the District Attorney's office, any additional charges for Charles Phillips will be decided by a grand jury. Phillips has a scheduled court appearance for Thursday morning that has not been canceled at this time. Phillips is being held without bail and has two felony convictions on his record. According to the criminal complaint, Phillips was convicted of attempted robbery in 2009. He was released from parole on Oct. 7, 2017.
