A state appellate court has reversed a 2003 murder conviction of a Rochester man. Rodney McFarland, 40, has served 14-years of a 25-year to life sentence. He was convicted of second degree murder in the November 2002 fatal shooting of 21-year old Serrell Bennett on Arnett Boulevard. Court papers say another man confessed to the crime in 2014. Justice Thomas Moran ruled that testimony was unreliable, but last week the Appellate Division of State Supreme Court reversed that ruling. Reporting live GSL SHOW
